Blessing of the Birinus Garden and Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations - 12th June

Posted by R.Broad on June 1, 2016

THANK YOU TO EVERY-ONE WHO HELPED TO MAKE THIS SUCH A SPECIAL DAY.

Following the Blessing of the Birinus Garden we will be celebrating the Queen's 90th Birthday on June 12th The full programme can be seen in the flyer here.

There will be a Bring and Share Lunch followed by Songs of Praise in the Church and then a Cream Tea.

We warmly invite the congregation and local residents to share with us the celebration of the Queen’s life.

The Queen is the longest reigning monarch in British history and in 2002 she said the following about her faith which has underpinned her life.

‘I know just how much I rely on my faith to guide me through the good times and the bad. Each day is a new beginning. I know that the only way to live my life is to try to do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day brings, and to put my trust in God... I draw strength from the message of hope in the Christian Gospel.’

The planned timetable for the day is:-
