Funerals

All Saints Church can support you through this difficult time. We can be with you as long as needed before, during and after the service.

Arranging the funeral

Your funeral director will contact our parish office and our administrator will find a priest to take the service. The date for the funeral will be agreed and we will contact the family to arrange to meet with them. During the visit we will plan the the service with the family. The service would take place at All Saints Church or at a crematorium.

Planning the Service

Every effort is made to make sure that we help you through this difficult time planning your loved one’s service. We can help with options for music, readings, prayers and hymns. We can provide a talk that will share memories of the life of your loved one and offering the hope of the Christian Resurrection. Sometimes a family member or friend of the family will speak on behalf of the departed loved one and we are happy for this if you would prefer. The Parish Centre is available for hire, if you would like to provide refreshments for family and friends after the service.

Following the Service

If you want a follow-up pastoral visit in the time following the service, please let us know. We will invite your family in early November to a memorial service when we pray for your departed loved one. This can be a helpful service to share with other families that have been bereaved. Following the service, we share tea, coffee and biscuits to enable us to share time with you if you find this helpful.
